6/9/07 -  *Excellent Review of THE JAZZ BAR gigs in Edinburgh Guide

……until he gets behind his piano and then the serious performer takes over. He puts his heart and soul into his music. He clearly enjoys performing. …
The audience last night was quick to pick up on this and an immediate rapport was established. As he said, music has been good to him. By forsaking the bubblegum world of pop offered to him through his success in 'Fame Academy' and allowing his depth to show, David Sneddon has in turn been good for music.REVIEWS

HIGHBARN- It was standing room only at High Barn in Great Bardfield as David Sneddon. ..played a 90-minute "This is an amazing venue.. I would rather play here than Wembley. "
The performance was stripped down with only two musicians on stage: Sound engineer - "The crowd loved him. He's a very talented performer and he played a great set that obviously went down well with the audience."
Dunmow

ORAN MOR - 'The Scots Fame Academy winner proved his talent with this acoustic show. Accompanied on guitar by John Kielty - his co-songwriter when he was in The Martians - David belted through original songs from his almost-completed album.  The highlight was beautiful ballad 'Insomnia'. The only reference to his past chart success was a version of his No 1 hit Stop Living The Lie mixed with Del Amitris Nothing Ever Happens. (5 stars)

 David Press: 2004 - 2011

4th Sept 2008 - Interesting write up on PACE and founder David Wallace - celebrating its 20th anniversary. He talks about how Pace gives children confidence and communication skills. He mentions 3 high profile successes from PACE – actor James McAvoy, singer Poalo Nutini and Fame academy winner David Sneddon.
QUOTE: ‘And Fame Academy winner David Sneddon shot to fame after a 12 year spell with PACE. David said:’ David had been at PACE since he was eight, when he won Fame Academy. He made a very brave decision to walk away from the limelight and concentrate on songwriting. He is tremendously successful doing his own thing.’

I remember back in 2006 David gave a highly illuminating interview with FPR(Free Paisley Radio) about how important Pace drama was in his life, offering him something new and challenging while he was still at primary school. ‘I can more or less always spot if a child has something special. The really talented ones have an intensity.’ (Check David's Bio page for more on FPR interview)

*Sept 2007 - THE JAZZ BAR EDINBURGH REVIEWS -
David Sneddon & Chris Townsend - JAZZ BAR REVIEW (23,24,25th Aug 2007)
'Fans were buzzing after David’s sold out gigs at the festival. The audience was of every age range and responded enthusiastically. He writes songs with sincere quality. David has reached a place where he seems grounded and to have a sense of clear direction with his music. He was destined to be a songwriter and to play intimate venue gigs. David decided bravely not to be a Re-run or Safe-bet, but to be an original. I hope my photos in a small way might express the energy and excitement of these gigs. '
REVIEWS JAZZ BAR AUGUST 2007
'His set was far too short, and I felt he has something new in his songs, which are sensitive and sincere. He is in a different league to most singer songwriters that I hear, who simply don’t touch me in my heart that way.’  singer

This is a VERY positive & supportive article from the Scottish press, but David did not actually speak to the Record. The Evening times also printed a letter I sent in a few weeks ago with a nice pic of David. I spoke with David at his Troubadour gig & he IS very happy right now. He said he has 4 songs that are hits world wide. For more accurate info on David  -
