*Sept 2007 - THE JAZZ BAR EDINBURGH REVIEWS -

David Sneddon & Chris Townsend - JAZZ BAR REVIEW (23,24,25th Aug 2007)

'Fans were buzzing after David’s sold out gigs at the festival. The audience was of every age range and responded enthusiastically. He writes songs with sincere quality. David has reached a place where he seems grounded and to have a sense of clear direction with his music. He was destined to be a songwriter and to play intimate venue gigs. David decided bravely not to be a Re-run or Safe-bet, but to be an original. I hope my photos in a small way might express the energy and excitement of these gigs. '

'His set was far too short, and I felt he has something new in his songs, which are sensitive and sincere. He is in a different league to most singer songwriters that I hear, who simply don’t touch me in my heart that way.’  singer

6/9/07 -  *Excellent Review of THE JAZZ BAR gigs in Edinburgh Guide

……until he gets behind his piano and then the serious performer takes over. He puts his heart and soul into his music. He clearly enjoys performing. …

The audience last night was quick to pick up on this and an immediate rapport was established. As he said, music has been good to him. By forsaking the bubblegum world of pop offered to him through his success in 'Fame Academy' and allowing his depth to show, David Sneddon has in turn been good for music.

We decided to do these five shows together and if these go well we'll go up north and do some there as well. At the moment, we are sticking to southern dates because it is difficult to organise without a lot of tour support."

What can I say of the enigmatic, charismatic and warm Mr Sneddon?

He kind of springs into action and commands the stage - and provides an engrossing performance.

He looks on top form and speaks of how well the EP is doing so far, which surprises him as he’s done no promo.

I am so proud of the songs David is writing right now.
