I started taking my gig photos at David's gigs with his band the Sham in August 2004 - and hard to believe it is 5 years ago now!! I noticed at the Metro David's close friendship with John Kielty, and I got some fun pics of them laughing on stage. John toured and wrote with David in 2003 after he won Fame academy.
At the HIGHBARN gig December 2006 David did a full set gig under the christmas lights and this was the first time I got some exciting shots.
A wonderful venue in an old high-ceiling barn, it had a golden glow. I can remember the first time seeing these photos.
My other favourite gigs the past years have been at Tony Moore's BEDFORD in London where the lighting is soft and clear, and I've always had good photos here.
The JAZZ BAR Edinburgh is my other best venue. I got some of my top ones here, and they are lovely warm colours. Happy Days. Also the TROUBADOUR London is the most fun and full of energy venue. I hope you enjoy my David Photos, on this page I selected my best porfolio shots.
I enjoyed the privilege of taking David's photos at these amazing gigs - and I hope they do David's unique talent justice.
Some show his depth, some his fun and light heartedness -

Previously with a band the Martians with John Kielty, David Sneddon won the BBC Fame Academy in 2002. He released his single 'Stop Living The Lie' which was a number 1 hit single selling over 250,000 copies, and the 12th highest selling single of the year. "Seven Years Ten Weeks" Sneddon's album, released in April 2003 four months after the show, entered the UK Albums Chart at #5. The album contains all original compositions written by Sneddon, and 4 songs co-written with fellow Martian John Kielty. 'I love being a songwriter. Tonight however, I play the Troubadour with MY songs to an intimate crowd and get a bigger buzz!!! I love these gigs I'm playing at the moment.' (David's myspace blog) "I’m really looking forward to the gigs – just piano and acoustic guitar and some new songs.

I'd Rather Busk on the Streets than Still be Living the Lie - David reveals why he turned his back on career as a pop star.' ..he has had more chart success than any other reality show graduate.
To date, David has scored four No.1s - his own plus three foreign chart-toppers. ‘ Daily Record, June 2007
“IT'S BEEN to the industry's benefit that the Paisley lad chose music over his other passion, football. Now 29, the winner of the first BBC series of Fame Academy in 2002 has gone on to success not only as a singer, but perhaps more notably, as a songwriter for many top names.” Scotsman, Dec 2007
David puts his heart and soul into his music. As he said, music has been good to him. By forsaking the bubblegum world of pop offered to him through his success in 'Fame Academy' and allowing his depth to show, David Sneddon has in turn been good for music. © 25 August 2007. www.EdinburghGuide.com
