The Sham
In the first few months of 2004 David was songwriting with John. They visited music producers in the States and after receiving positive responses to their new songs, such as Only A Boy, decided to start a rock band in May. The Sham included Ed Carlile(drums), Si Jones(guitar), Jake Goslin(keys), John Kielty(guitar) & Jay Mein(bass), their debut single 'Goodbye Baby' reached #1 on 7Digital. The Sham band did gigs in England and Scotland and headlined at Aberdeen's hogmanay.  In 2005 the band continued with gigs, and in May David and John did an acoustic set at Colne Music festival. In July they headed up to the Scottish highlands to write together.

David received positive feedback from industry people, and his Publishing company Universal Music, and decided to start recording a new solo album in July 2005. He has been working on the album with music producers Jake Gosling and Jay Mein (Phonic8) in Windlesham and taking his new sound acoustic. David's focus is on strong melodies and personal themes.
