The album is nearly finished, apart from needing a few touches.
The boys spent 72 hours mixing it so that they could go home and relax for xmas. David wishes everyone a good Xmas and new year.

*01/11/05 - ALBUM VIDEO DIARY of the Recording sessions. September/ October, have seen David busy in the Recording Studio in London and the recording is going well. One of Dave's favourites is a song about his home town of Glasgow called ‘My Streets.’
*30/09/05 - NEW HOPE There was barely a dry eye in the house as Fame Academy winner David Sneddon performed his song ‘Heart’, written specially for Struan. “I’ve told the society it’s theirs. I just wrote about my experiences with the kids.” David performed the song for the first time on the piano he wrote his number one hit ‘Stop Living The Lie’ on. *30/09/05 - DAVID latest - ALBUM is about half recorded now – He’s still writing like mad too! John may be down to write with him soon. David has recorded the new song ‘Heart’ and sent it to Struan. He says how amazing the new Straun school is. Nate James has been getting good Radio play and his Sheperd Bush Empire gig next week is selling well. With Downloading artists make their money doing gigs these days.

20/09/05 - New Struan - A World Class Centre for Autism, Official Opening Friday 16th September by Margaret Bell, the founding headmistress & local MSP George Reid. Over 100 guests & supporters attended, including BBC Fame academy stars David Sneddon and Richard Park. New Struan will use the latest research to develop techniques to provide support vital for children & adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Fundraising continues for equipment. 16/09/05 - NEW STRUAN school in Alloa. Last Friday David attended the opening of the new school. David has composed a special new song ‘Heart’ expressing his thoughts from his many visits with the autistic children at Struan house. Many were moved to tears, including Dave.

16/09/05 - STRUAN CHARITY BALL. Later that day David attended the Struan Ball at Gleneagles Hotel. The architect of the new school spoke about his autistic 28 yr-old daughter and how the lack of facilities at the old school got him involved and inspired him to design the new school.

16/05/04 - REACHING FOR AFRICA concert. DAVID returns to performing and announces the new band. Fans gave David and John a standing ovation at the Charity concert in Glasgow. They performed two new songs, Only a Boy and Happy in Her Atmosphere.
14/03/04 HELP US BUILD NEW SCHOOL SONG FOR STRUAN - 'I've seen the huge difference this school makes. When you discover what some of the pupils were like their behaviour and inability to communicate it's amazing to see their progress. That's what makes Struan such a worthwhile place.' David Sneddon is coming out of retirement to raise cash for Struan. He will play an exclusive one-off concert for the school that raises most money for the centre for autistic children. David said he was persuaded to front up another band after record company Universal heard his songs. He now intends to play his own songs with fellow songwriter and long-time friend John Kielty.: 'I played some of the new songs I'd wrote to Universal. They asked why I wanted to write for others when my songs were good enough to be sung by me. John and I have spent the last nine months writing new songs and it has been like expecting a child we've made 40 babies.'

David is coming out of retirement to raise money for Africa. Singers from a local choral group are tuning up for a concert appearance with top television recording star Patti Boulaye and Paisleys chart topper David Sneddon. The Sham
In the first few months of 2004 David was songwriting with John. They visited music producers in the States and after receiving positive responses to their new songs, such as Only A Boy, decided to start a rock band in May. The Sham included Ed Carlile(drums), Si Jones(guitar), Jake Goslin(keys), John Kielty(guitar) & Jay Mein(bass), their debut single 'Goodbye Baby' reached #1 on 7Digital. The Sham band did gigs in England and Scotland and headlined at Aberdeen's hogmanay. In 2005 the band continued with gigs, and in May David and John did an acoustic set at Colne Music festival. In July they headed up to the Scottish highlands to write together.
David received positive feedback from industry people, and his Publishing company Universal Music, and decided to start recording a new solo album in July 2005. He has been working on the album with music producers Jake Gosling and Jay Mein (Phonic8) in Windlesham and taking his new sound acoustic. David's focus is on strong melodies and personal themes.
